シュッとしてる≒cool
先般のTV番組「ケンミンショー」という地方性に関するバラエティ番組で、「関西人はオノマトペを多用する」という話題があった。「この道をばあーっと行ってなあ、そこの角をびゃっと曲がんねん。そんで…」というように（文にすると再現性に欠けるなあ）。
そのような類いの用語として「シュッとしてる」というのがある。
「その服ええやん。なんか、シュッとしてるわ」とか、「Ａさんってなんか顔がシュッとしてんなあ」という使われ方がある。基本的にほめ言葉であり、「cool」に近い使われ方をしている気がする。
先日、tangoさんが来られた。関西人というか、オヤジというか、日本酒を塩でいっちゃうナイスガイだが、実のところ、30歳にもなっていないようなお嬢さんである。
彼女は生粋の関西人ではないと思うが、言葉遣いは関西人の風格が色濃い。
彼女にその話をしたところ、むしろ、「シュッとしてる」を使えないとほめ言葉が出てこない、それくらい「シュッとしてる」にお世話になっているそうだ。
「シュッとしてる」たしかになかなか代わりの言葉がない、かもしれない。
